A Portfolio that's Right for You

Wealth_Management_seedling_from_coins_compressedChoosing where to invest your money for the future may be one of the most challenging decisions you will ever make.  We can help you through the process of making these decisions.

It's a four step process:

Step 1

Assess your attitude to risk

Before we can assess which investment strategy is most appropriate for you, it's vital that we understand your attitude to risk and capacity for loss.

Your risk tolerance is a measure of both your emotional and rational responses to changes in the value of your investments ie your ability to withstand losses.  It is usually linked to your temperament, time frame, expectations and financial circumstances.

Step 2

Choose an asset allocation to meet your needs

Once we have assessed your attitude to risk and capacity for loss, the next step is to understand what asset allocation suits you best.

Asset allocation is about getting the right balance in your portfolio between different types of investment, taking into account your financial goals and your attitude to risk.  It is widely recognised as a key element of investment decision making.

Step 3

Build your investment strategy

Our in-house investment committe has constructed a comprehensive investment research process to determine the most suitable asset allocation based on your circumstances and attitude to risk.

We believe in keeping things simple.  There is a lot of research behind our investment advice process, but we want you to understand why we are making recommendations and how your portfolio is constructed to meet your financial objectives.

Step 4

Portfolio review and rebalancing

We review our recommended portfolios quarterly to ensure that all funds continue to meet our prescribed investment criteria.  As a result, we will from time to time add or remove funds from our recommended list.

Portfolio rebalancing helps us to ensure that you are not over exposed to risk based upon the asset allocation strategy that was employed when you initially invested your money.
